Small Business Accountants/Bookkeepers
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; associates degree with experience considered
- Extensive experience in all aspects of accounting–payroll and associated quarterly/annual reports, accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
- Familiar with audit, review, and compilation procedures
- Proficient with Internet research, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and completing projects by or before deadline dates
Responsibilities:
- Primary function will be to serve as accountant to our clients, either on site or in office
- Preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly payroll tax filings
- Perform research on various tax issues
- Prepare responses to notices from taxing authorities
- Assist in preparing responses regarding audit inquiries
- Assisting with tax preparation, including federal and state corporate, individual, trust, and partnership income tax returns, and franchise tax returns
- Assist with audits
- Assist in determining the best route for our clients to ensure compliance and obtain maximum tax savings
- Communicate with clients, either orally or in writing[/paragraph]
Tax Accountants
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience
- Must be experienced in preparing all types of individual and corporate income tax returns
- CPA with advanced degree in taxation desirable
- CPA candidate will be considered
- Tax preparation—including federal, District of Columbia, and state corporate, individual, trust, and partnership income tax returns, and franchise tax returns, along with payroll monthly, quarterly and annual filings
- Preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly tax filings
- Perform research on various tax issues
- Prepare responses to notices from taxing authorities
- Assist in preparing responses regarding audit inquiries
- Assist on audits and continue to determine the best route for our clients to ensure compliance and obtain maximum tax savings.
Administrative Assistant
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, self-starter, w/initiative and excellent organizational skills
- Experienced with MS Office applications—proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and is a fast learner of software programs
- Very computer literate
- Excellent oral/written communications skills
- Detail oriented and good at multi-tasking
- Assisting the Office Manager and Principal of the company
- Communicating via phone and in person with clients and vendors
- Answering the phone, taking messages, and screening calls for purpose of prioritizing
- Typing correspondence and assist with assembling and preparing documents for clients
- Assist with tax return assembly and processing
- Logging in/out mail and deliveries
- Filing client and vendor documents
- Assist in organization projects
- Prepare presentations in PowerPoint and documents in Excel, upon occasion
- Assist in training and supervising Interns
- Printing billing reports and other related time and billing processes
